Multi-colored, living cave formations…a fascinating destination for all

Kartchner Caverns State Park® in Southeastern Arizona features a stunning and pristine limestone cave with world-class features that have been protected since its discovery in 1974. This living cave has been surveyed at 2.4 miles long and boasts 13,000 feet of passages and two rooms as long as a football field, making this cave approximately 7 acres! Kartchner Caverns is listed as one of the top ten caves in the world—come and enjoy its wonders.

The park’s educational exhibits include a replica of the cave, a documentary video and interactive displays. Meander through the winding paths of the hummingbird garden, take in the vistas of the sprawling San Pedro Valley while on the hiking trails, look and listen for the different migratory birds that pass through this area, enjoy the spacious surroundings of the mesquite trees that encompass the 62 camp sites with a relaxing elevation of 4600’…it all creates a memorable experience!
